Your Eye Health Could Predict Dementia Risk

A new study reveals that blood vessels in the retina may show early signs of dementia and Alzheimer's risk.
Researchers discovered that narrower arteries and wider veins in the back of the eye, as well as thinner retinal nerve layers, are associated with a higher risk of developing these diseases.
"Although this research is still in its early stages, it could revolutionize early detection of dementia, when treatments are most effective," scientists point out.
