MIND diet effective in cognitive impairment
30/09/2024
A new study suggests that following the MIND diet may lower the risk of cognitive decline, according to research published in Neurology.
The MIND diet, combining elements of the Mediterranean and DASH diets, includes leafy greens, whole grains, olive oil, fish, nuts, and berries.
The study tracked 14,145 people over 10 years, finding that those who followed the diet more closely had a slightly reduced risk of cognitive impairment.
While the results don't prove the diet prevents cognitive issues, they show a strong association, especially in Black participants.
Further research is needed.
