Does Your Biological Age Increase Dementia Risk?
11/05/2025
A new study reveals that people whose biological age is greater than their chronological age might be more likely to develop dementia.
The research, which followed more than 280,000 participants for 14 years, found that those with more advanced biological markers had a 30% higher risk, regardless of their chronological age.
"Although we cannot change our chronological age, we can influence our biological age through lifestyle factors such as diet and exercise," noted Dr. Yacong Bo, lead author of the study.
